Road
Waltham Cross is 15 miles from Central London and is situated just north of the M25. The A10 trunk road runs north to south through Cheshunt and Waltham Cross and provides access to Cambridge and London. The M1, A1 and M11 motorways are nearby and offer access to the rest of the UK. The A10 is maintained by Hertfordshire Highways and the M25 is the responsibility of the Highways Agency.

Trains
There are three train stations across Cheshunt and Waltham Cross, these are at;

  • Cheshunt
  • Waltham Cross
  • Theobalds Grove
Cuffley Station is also close by, serving the residents of Goffs Oak.
There are regular trains south into London or north towards Cambridge, also connecting Cheshunt and Waltham Cross with west Essex. Buses
A central bus station in Waltham Cross provides links south into London and north into Hertfordshire and Essex. There are plans to build a central bus terminal at the Brookfield Centre in Cheshunt. Four main bus companies operate in Cheshunt and Waltham Cross, Metroline, Sullivans, The Shires and Centrebus. Cycling and Walking
There are several paths in the Borough dedicated to walking and cycling. Sustrans, the sustainable transport charity have produced a Broxbourne cycle map which shows the location of all cycle routes in the area and bus and train stations. It features links to other sustainable transport websites and cycle shops in the locality.
Transport for vulnerable people
The WRVS Health shuttle service provides a door-to-door service for people that have trouble getting to and from Hospital.
